What was going on?

Camila is a therapist with many years of experience who decided to bring her practice into the digital world. She needed a website where she could connect with patients, share her approach, and offer remote sessions to expand her reach and accessibility.

How we tackled it

I followed a full Design Thinking process, starting with research that included interviews with real users, benchmarking, and the creation of a user persona. From there, I moved into wireframing, prototyping, and conducted usability testing with target users to validate the experience.

For development, I built the site on a WordPress foundation but fully custom-coded the front end using HTML, SCSS, JavaScript, PHP, Lenis, and GSAP — ensuring performance, smooth interactions, and full control over structure and scalability.

So, how did it go?

  • +20

new sessions booked through the site in the first week

  • ~40

average daily visits during the first month

  • 2.3%

average conversion rate in the first month

This was one of the few projects where I handled both design and development, and the only one I’ve led as a freelancer (with support from a copywriter). One of the biggest takeaways was learning to structure the project with clear phases and deadlines — which helped me avoid burnout and stay focused. It also taught me how to mentally separate design and development so I could give each part the attention it deserved.
